Emma Pollock in The Scotsman

"Years earlier, the folks at veteran indie label 4AD had floated the idea of a Pollock solo album. 'I thought that was a lovely thing to say but I write songs for a band', she says. Now the conversation resurfaced, and the offer remained. 'I didn't want to do it on Chemikal Underground, to tell the truth', she says, addressing the obvious question.
